Privacy at a Glance
No Data Mining
We never use your content for training or commercial purposes
Browser-First Tools
Core text, image, video, and audio checks run locally in your browser
Your Control
Request data deletion, export, or modification at any time
1. Information We Collect
Content You Submit
For the core public detector tools, the text, image, video, or audio file you choose is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to an EyeSift server. If you separately contact us, send support material, or use a future server-assisted workflow, we use that submitted content only to provide the requested service.
- Core detector analysis results are generated locally in your browser session
- Core detector content is not stored for training, resale, or commercial data mining
- Support or contact submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond and comply with legal obligations
- No user-submitted content is used for training or model improvement without explicit consent
Technical Information
We collect minimal technical information to provide and improve our services:

We use reasonable safeguards for the systems that support the site:
Technical Safeguards
- HTTPS encryption for data transmitted to the site
- Browser-side processing for core detector content wherever possible
- Routine dependency, configuration, and access reviews
- Least-privilege access for operational systems
Operational Security
- Limited access controls and authentication

4. Your Privacy Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, you have the following rights:
To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services
We use select third-party services to provide our platform:
All third-party services are bound by strict data processing agreements and comply with applicable privacy laws.
6. Advertising & Cookies
Google AdSense
EyeSift uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
Your Choices & Opt-Out Options
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings
- You may opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info
- You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings
GDPR & UK Privacy Compliance: For users in the EU and UK, we request explicit consent before personalized advertisements are shown. You may withdraw your consent at any time. If consent is not granted, only non-personalized ads will be displayed.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
EyeSift is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly. Educators using EyeSift in K-12 academic integrity workflows should ensure compliance with their institution's data handling policies and obtain appropriate parental consent where required.
8. Your Rights Under CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and UK GDPR
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold about you
- Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to deletion of personal information we hold about you
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
- Right to data portability (EU/UK residents)
- Right to restrict processing or object to processing (EU/UK residents)
- Right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. Because core detector content is processed in the browser rather than uploaded to EyeSift, most deletion requests will relate to analytics identifiers, advertising cookies, contact messages, support records, or account information if applicable. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law — typically 45 days under CCPA/CPRA and one month under GDPR/UK GDPR.
9. Data Retention and Security
Core detector content is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to EyeSift servers. Support emails, contact form messages, and other voluntary submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default retention settings and may be anonymized or deleted after that period. Server logs containing IP addresses are rotated within normal operational windows. We serve the Site over HTTPS and use access controls for operational systems. No Internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Users and Do Not Track
EyeSift is operated from the United States. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. For EU/UK users, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms consistent with applicable law. Our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track ("DNT") browser signals because no uniform DNT standard has been finalized. You can still manage tracking preferences through cookie controls and the opt-out resources listed above.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the services offered. The "Last updated" date at the top will indicate the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for at least 30 days, and where required by law, we will notify affected users directly.
12. Contact Information
For privacy-related questions, data requests, or compliance concerns:
This privacy policy may be updated periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent website notices. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
